Over the years, we have collected numerous cell phone numbers from women that came across our paths. Most of the time we get a number from a chick it’s because we think she’s hot. There’s nothing wrong with that, but after 6 months to a year, if you didn’t make her your girl or do not communicate with her anymore, why do you still have her number inyour phone? It is kind of weird and creepy that you keep a number to a girl that you don’t talk to anymore. Let me teach you what you do with that number…YOU DELETE IT!

Keeping numbers of random chicks that you met over the years can only create problems in your life down the line. There are times when we might get a little drunk and the first thing we tend to do is get our cell phone and start texting and calling random girls in our phone that we haven’t talked to in over a year–this is not dapper behavior, it is desperate and rude behavior.

Ask yourself: why are you keeping these numbers? Once a year go through your phone and find the ladies that you have not spoken to for the last 6 months to a year outside of your co-workers, friends, and family, and delete them all. If you still have Sarah’s number from 2005 and haven’t spoken to her since 2006, delete her! Obviously you guys aren’t speaking anymore for whatever reason and if Sarah wants to contact you, let her. If you have a girlfriend or a wife, this is a must because you do not want your lady to go through your phone and ask: “Hey, who’s Sarah?” If you have a girlfriend or wife, obviously she knows all the important women in your life and you do not want to cause a rift in your relationship over Sarah.

Even if you’re single, delete Sarah–there is no need to save her number. Delete her and go on the prowl for three new numbers to start off your year. I used to have all these random numbers in my phone and I don’t want you to make the mistakes I have in the past. By having one too many drinks or just being bored, you could end up going through your phone and start randomly texting girls. This is not a cool behavior.

Let them contact us if they want to break the ice. Keep your phone book dapper with the important contacts of your life and not the chicks you’ve met in the past. If you’re single and still communicate with some of your contacts, then that’s cool, but the ones that you had a fall out with have to go starting January 2012. Do this winter cleaning every 6 months to a year as it saves memory in your phone and the embarrassment of calling Sarah and her dude answering. Bring out the dapper man in you and do this. I know it might be hard for some because you’ve worked extremely hard for some numbers, but it is an action that needs to be done. Just get new numbers.
