Glasses are important because of the protection they provide against harmful UV rays that affect your eyes and cause problems, such as cataracts. The best sunglasses will protect against both UVA and UVB rays. Polarized lenses reduce glare and are great for ball players, long distance drivers, people that work by the pool, or for people that work outdoors.

When it’s cloudy outside you can get the worst sunburns because of the rays that are trapped under the clouds that keep bouncing the UV back and forth. If your skin needs protection, so do your eyes because they are the only organs on the outside of your body. It’s important to make wearing sunglasses a habit early on in life. When choosing your glasses, make sure you take into consideration where you work and how much time you spend outdoors. The cheapest sunglasses will do the job of protecting your eyes, but extra protection might be needed according to the UVB/UVA you are exposed to. For even better protection, make sure your glasses cover all angles of your eyes so no UV rays can come in.

Now that all the technical stuff has been discussed, how about adding style to your glasses? There are many styles of sunglasses you can choose from. From the most iconic figures to regular folks,  people have made a fashion statement with their sunglasses.

James Dean was known for his sunglasses, but what he probably didn’t know was that he was doing his eyes a big favor. Some people like sunglasses so much they wear them at night. We here at John Dapper don’t condone the use of sunglasses at night unless your name is P-Diddy or Pitbull. Trust us when we tell you people will be laughing at you.

No matter what style you get, make sure  they have protection from the sun because this is the main reason why you wear sunglasses.

Here are some great sunglasses to consider:
