Audi Now Owns Ducati
Audi has bought motorcycle manufacturer Ducati for $1.8 billion–making it the third Italian company owned by the German automaker after Lamborghini and Italidesign.
Audi believes owning Ducati will give the Volkswagen group much leverage in the world of motorcycles because Ducati sold 42,000 of them last year for a profit of $480 million.
