If not for Dick Clark, Rock n’ Roll wouldn’t be as popular as it is today. Before he took over American Bandstand, most people disliked the music and were destroying records.
Dick Clark’s clean-cut and dapper image helped ease parent’s concerns about the music their children were listening to. He is also credited with being the first white person to introduce black performers on stage.
We here at John Dapper acknowledge Dick Clark as a true Dapper Man and send our condolences to his family.
