Socialist candidate François Hollande, who’s leading incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy in first-round voting, has decided to use the club anthem from “Watch the Throne” in one of his ads. The video shows Hollande as he campaigns around Paris while French voters of different races flash their electoral cards. Sarkozy has been criticized for his relationship with the poor Parsian neighborhoods and it appears Hollande is trying to capitalize on this fact. One of the cities in the video, “Creil”, is actually pronounce “cray” like in the song.
