Banksy’s Parachuting Rat was one of the longest-remaining pieces of artwork by the legendary street artist. It was accidentally destroyed in Melbourne by a construction crew who didn’t know about the significance of the piece. Although most street art is destroyed fairly quickly, the Parachuting Rat had been preserved by the local art community because of the importance it played in the history of graffiti art.
