Ray-Ban has been making some of the world’s best sunglasses, in terms of both functionality and style, for 75 years now. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the eyewear brand has introduced the “Ambermatic Colelction“–a new series of sunglasses that feature the yellow polarized/anti-glare lens that made them famous in 1978. The glasses are almost an exact replica of the 1937 Aviators and come equipped with light-sensitive photochromatic lenses that darken according to light and temperature settings. The shades will be available sometime this summer in four different styles (two Aviators, a Shooter, and an Outdoorsman), and will be limited to only 18,000 pieces.
