Well, it’s official. According to multiple news reports, including Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal, Apple is expected to release the iPad Mini before the end of the year. In order to compete in the ever-growing tablet market, Apple has been somewhat forced to develop a smaller and more affordable version of the iPad. Despite having over 60% of the market share, that number can (and will) be a lot higher once the Mini is released. The iPad Mini will be a 7-inch version of the 9.7-inch iPad and will be available in October. No prices have been unveiled but are expected to be similar to the Kindle Fire 2.
